Winner of the AVK World Water Award 2020

World Water Day - celebrated on March 22nd every year - is about focusing attention on the importance of water. This year’s theme was Water and Climate Change, and how the two are inextricably linked. 25-03-2020

AVK invited customers and partners to take part in a global case story contest to celebrate this year's World Water day that focuses on the importance of sustainable water infrastructure and on the many ways we can contribute to a greener future for our planet. Thank you to all who joined the contest.

And the winner is…
Congratulations to this year’s winner, Mr Peter Rajendran, who provided an interesting case story about an automatic solution to prevent reservoir overflow. Recurring overflow meant great water losses, flooding of the surrounding area and in the end, less water supplied to the community. An upgrade of the supply system has resulted in numerous benefits for the city of Chikodi. Contributing to the sustainable development goals #6 and #11 of assuring clean water and sanitation and sustainable cities and communities, the solution was provided by AVK India - read the full case story in the link below.

We are looking forward to welcoming Mr Peter Rajendran at the upcoming Advanced Water Cycle Management Course in Låsby, Denmark. The course is an intensive, two-week knowledge upgrade regarding latest water technologies, concepts and semi-practical tasks – and, of course, loads of fun and networking with participants from all over the world.
